WHINTER SEEZYN
Frostbyt3’s latest album, WHINTER SEEZYN, explains the true meaning behind being a kid again: creativity, innocence, and growth. From the beginning interlude, “SEEZYN’S GREETING…”, which dives into how growing up is a process that tends to rush before our own eyes, to “WHAT MATTERS”, explaining the hardships in life we all face as people. To bring the phrase “nothing into something” to life, Frostbyt3 created, recorded and produced the album for over a year all in the comfort of his own home. Taking inspiration from the rap genre, Frostbyt3 had found his way of making the album his own, not to mention that WHINTER SEEZYN is his first ever album on streaming platforms. From features (It’z Juan, NLB Trey, Chris Peter) to the massive production by Frostbyt3 himself and Josh Coleman, WHINTER SEEZYN is truly an album that will have you thinking childhood thoughts in no time.
EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE
Frostbyt3 is back with his newest and latest album, EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE. Throughout this project, he explains the complicated themes of love, relationships, and heartbreak. From the intro skit, “JUST GO UP AND ASK HER”, which automatically throws the listener into the mind of someone trying to start fresh in a new relationship, to “OUTTA MY MIND” featuring award-winning artist, Alyssa Garcia, explaining the hardships of trying to get that one person out of your mind. This project also stems experimentally with bits of pop and rap influences with some r&b sprinkled in. Frostbyt3 truly takes over as much space as possible with features from artists like WilKin, Pryce Jamison, and Anthony C thrown into the mix. EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE is an album that will take the listener on a journey through a broken heart.
THE ARTIST
WHO IS FROSTBYT3?
John Coleman, also known as Frostbyt3 (pronounced "frostbite"), has been in the pursuit of making music for as long as he can remember. Born and raised in Norristown, Pennsylvania, John loves taking his optimistic nature and throwing his positive vibes into the songs he creates.
With his biggest inspirations being Daft Punk, Chance the Rapper, Kanye West, and ROSALÍA (to name a few), at a young age, he decided to take music seriously. Starting out on Soundcloud and experimenting with music production software, he quickly became interested in producing music as well as writing his own songs. Frostbyt3 has been known for his work on songs like Waves and Dead Wrong with artist, NLB Trey. His most recent work, WHINTER SEEZYN and EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE showcase these talents, as the albums were written, recorded, produced, engineered, and released all from his room.
Frostbyt3 always has interesting ways of putting songs together by working with artists he feels are as unique and creative as he is. From releasing a handful of projects on SoundCloud, serving as a member of the boy band WilKin, being a part of the pop duo SoulFlo with Hunter McNally and starting his new music collective THEM KIDZ with member ETHNL, he feels like thinking “outside the box” in anything is the best way to get ideas out.
